How I have changed since I have been in the U.S?

  

              I am an immigrant. I moved to the US with my parents in 2012. In the US I found that the life in USA is completely different than China. I could not be immune to the America popular culture. I have starting to live as a new American. For example, I have starting English and making friends with real Americans. I have started to give the tips after I ate in the restaurant and took a taxi. That had never happened in China. I have changed in a short time by the different culture in America. However, I still can be changed totally. For example, I have not lived without my parent even though I am 20 years old. Some Americans would left their parent when they grow up to be adult. I have been noticed by the America culture but I rejected that. Because in Chinese culture we should take care of our parent when they got older.

What I have become aware of since taking this class?

               During this class, I learned about that pop culture is different with high culture. Also, pop culture is the sign of a country's improvement. Therefore,studying popular culture is important. For example: The US is a big country and one of the countries which has most immigrants around the world. Though immigrants increase day by day. Many different and popular cultures from other countries have been brought with immigrants. That is a big reason to make USA become a country which has many popular cultures in the world.
